Problem
Estimating surface soil moisture over agricultural plots for water-management applications.
Data
Sentinel-1 SAR imagery, Landsat 8 NDVI and Soil Moisture Index, and field-measured soil-moisture data.
Approach
SAR preprocessing in SNAP (7 stages from subset to dB conversion). Regression modelling to relate backscatter to field-measured soil moisture. See step viewer below.
Result
R² 0.77·MAE 1.83·RMSE 2.25
SSM = 3.09 × VV + 0.19 × VH + 52.25

Founder, JBROS Café & Co.
Founded and runs a small food-service business from concept to daily service.
Chose the spot and set up the outlet, thinking about access, footfall, parking and evening trade.
Planned the cooking and serving layout for a smooth workflow and queue flow: prep, fryer, serving counter and payment.
Set up and laid out the serving area, including seating, power, water and food-safety arrangements.
Arranged power, lighting and water for evening service.
Designed the menu and set prices: fries, wraps, burgers, wings and drinks.
Built a repeatable menu with standard recipes and portion sizes so taste and cost stay consistent.
Sourced ingredients and managed suppliers and deliveries.
Managed stock: ordering, storage and keeping waste low.
Planned daily prep, schedules and service.
Tracked daily sales, costs and stock, and adjusted prices and the menu accordingly.
Coordinated helpers and shift timings, and ran service through peak hours.
Kept food hygiene and safety practices, including oil, gas and cleaning routines.
Handled customer service and quality standards.
Created the brand: name, menu board and signage.
Applies the same planning, scheduling and cost-control habits used on site.
